Strategic Overview

HSBC Egypt represents the British global HSBC Group in the Egyptian market and is one of the most prominent international banks operating in Egypt. The bank selected Van Tech to deliver MEP and fire protection systems to strict international standards reflecting the parent group requirements.

Scope of Work

The scope included: central HVAC systems for a premium banking environment, FM200 fire suppression protecting server rooms and vaults, and addressable early warning fire alarm systems. Durations ranged from 6 months for the Nasr City City Stars branch to 8 months for the Main Branch. Every branch was handed over per HSBC Group international technical requirements.

Challenges & Solutions

The HSBC Group imposed uncompromising international technical standards, particularly for precision cooling and gaseous suppression systems. The City Stars branch also required coordination with international mall management to integrate systems with the mall central infrastructure. We overcame these challenges with a specialized engineering team and full bilingual technical documentation.

Outcome

Both HSBC Egypt branches were handed over passing international testing protocols on the first attempt. Van Tech achieved full compliance with HSBC Group global standards. This achievement established Van Tech as a contractor capable of meeting international banking requirements in Egypt.
